The Chinese Embassy in Congo contributes to the smooth running of the Invest in Africa Forum

The Chinese ambassador to Congo, Ma Fulin, has donated office and computer equipment to the National Organizing Committee of the 5th Invest in Africa Forum, represented by its Chairman, Minister Jean Jacques Bouya. 

The donation agreement was signed on September 31, 2019 at the Kintélé International Conference Center, between the two personalities.

 Received by the chairperson of the said National Organizing Committee, Minister Jean Jacques Bouya, this donation worth 25.758.000 FCFA comprises, amongst others:  

  • computer equipment, namely three (3) desktops, three (3) dell screens, two (2) copiers, ten (10) laptops, software and antivirus, tool cases, printers, consumables and accessories, the quantity of which varies between three (3) and thirty (30).        
  • Office supplies including pens, staples, cardboard folders and shredders in sufficient quantity.        

 Proceeding with the handing of this donation, the Chinese Embassy in Congo, MA FULIN, underlined in substance that as co-organizer of the Forum, the Chinese Ministry of Finance, the Development Bank of China and the World Bank had already invested a lot in preparing the work of the Forum.

 “At the level of the embassy representing the Chinese Government in Congo, today, it is a great pleasure for me to make this donation to the National Organizing Committee of the Invest in Africa Forum. This gesture, despite the small amount of material, reflects the importance we attach to this Forum and the solidarity of the Chinese Government for the success of this important meeting between Africa and its partners from the rest of the world. And I am sure that the Forum will be a great success,” concluded the Chinese statesman.  

Taking the floor, president of the National Organizing Committee of the 5th Invest in Africa Forum, Minister Jean Jacques Bouya, strongly welcomed the initiative of the Chinese Government, through its representative in Congo before thanking the Chinese diplomat for his involvement, not only in the smooth running of the 5th Invest in Africa Forum, but also for its success. It goes without saying that this gesture attests of the excellent relations between China and Africa, on the one hand, and between China and Congo on the other hand.  

Minister Jean Jacques Bouya also reassured him of the proper use of this material.
